Separated from the landmark Central Hotel by Dame Court, Central Hotel Chambers (1956, McConnell & Dixon) has these lovely monogramme window grilles running down the corner with Exchequer Street. There’s probably minimal light coming through the narrow, pointed oval windows, but their unusual shape makes the emblems in front read like part of a crest. I’d love to visit the interior of the building, to see whether the details continue through.

The geometric grilles running at street level on Dame Court are also quite nice, ornamental but less conspicuous.
