The convention for numbering addresses spanning more than one building seems to be ‘1-3′, but this sign makes a good argument for listing: tiny punctuation marks.

It’s not a remarkable doorway, but the brass-effect numbers are quite proud, and the small comma and (relatively) smaller ampersand are an obvious highlight. If you look closely, there’s the ghost of a slimmer set of numbers, more contrast in the stroke width and more space between them, but still with a distinctive ampersand.
